Anvil open-sources app server for fast embedded app design
The open-source runtime engine allows any Python programmer to deploy apps on embedded or IoT devices, as well as in the cloud.
Anvil’s development environment provides coding simplicity and powerful performance. Full stack web apps can be created quickly, bringing the power and speed of classic RAD tools like Visual Basic to the web. Previously, developers using Anvil could only create and run web apps hosted in Anvil’s cloud, or in their employer’s private cloud. Open sourcing the App Server allows developers to export an app and run it anywhere, without relying on the Anvil cloud or any internet connection.
