The competition is open to everyone, but element14 members can receive one of 20 free PSoC 6 Kits – a choice of either the Cypress PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit (CY8CKIT-062-WIFI-BT) or PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Prototyping Kit (CY8CPROTO-062-4343W) for their projects. The Cypress PSoC 6 MCU is a low-power design that has been developed for IoT products and wearables that offers the ability to tune the design after it has been deployed. Amazon Web Services will also provide $25 Cloud Credit for each sponsored challenger for its AWS IoT Platform.
Participants must post at least 10 blogs about their design process. The entries must also interface with Amazon Web Services incorporating photos, videos and code samples. Entrants who complete 10 blog posts and submit a featured project that meets the requirements will receive a Multicomp Pro Multimeter Set. The first prize is a Desktop 3D Printer and a new, unannounced PSoC6 Kit. A runner up will receive a HTC VIVE Pro Virtual Reality System and the new PSoc6 Kit.
Applications for the free Cypress Kit open from 27th January until 24th February. The design challenge deadline is 11th May 2020 and winners will be announced in June 2020.
