Solid State Supplies is now stocking the world’s smallest BLE module
The BGM11S Blue Gecko SiP module measures only 6.5mm x 6.5mm x 1.4mm, or 51mm2 of PCB space, and is intended for applications that require a small form factor, reliable RF performance, low power use, full certification and easy development.
The highly integrated package comprises the radio transceiver, antenna, interface processor, clock management, memory, I/O, timers, triggers, security and power management. The core processor is a 32-bit 38.4 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 which is supported by 256kB Flash and 32kB of RAM. The SiP package consumes only 8.7 mA in operation and 2.5μA in deep sleep mode. The antenna can supply up to +8 dBm transmit power and -90 dBm receive sensitivity.
