Talking with Ishay Kokavka (CEO), it is clear that Shiratech is exactly at the heart of developments. As part of the AY Electronics group, Shiratec takes care of new product development for all the different departments and clients of the group. With development teams in Russia, Israel and India and strong partnerships with companies like Analog, STMicroelectronics and NXP, Shiratech is in a good position to do rapid development. The company gained their experience with the development of Smarc (Smart Mobility ARChitecture) and designing boards for the 96Board communities.
“Very fast development is our big advantage”, explains Ishay Kokavka, “With the teams we have in the different countries we can do developments in 3 to 4 months’ time, we have all the expertise in house.”
Shiratech is showing three new products at the Embedded World 2019 edition in Nuremberg. The first one is the BODYCAM project, which has a camera and other sensors inside that allow security people to record and communicate data in case of emergencies. It offers live streaming and analytics, and because it is an open platform it allows you to develop your own specific applications or analytics. The device can communicate through WiFi, Bluetooth and 4G and provides continuous live streaming to a control centre.
The second product Shiratech developed, together with Analog and Arrow, will allow companies to do preventive maintenance on their installations. The product, iCoMox, has four sensors (temperature, acceleration, magnetic and acoustic) that can create a profile of the machine or motor in operation. These profile data can be monitored and compared with previous collected data or data received from identical machines. The profile will tell you if the system needs repairs or is ready for maintenance. This product can be connected with, for example, a motor and keep a close eye on its performance. With this solution you can reduce costs of maintenance and create an industrial environment with a guaranteed high uptime.
