Samsung to expand NAND flash production
Samsung Electronics has started construction of an additional wafer fab module at Pyeongtaek, Korea, for the manufacture of 3D-NAND flash memory in 2H21.

The additional module is inside Pyeongtaek's Line 2. Established in 2015, Samsung’s Pyeongtaek Campus is a hub for next-generation memory technologies, consisting of two of the world’s largest-scale production lines.

Samsung did not indicate how much money is being spend or what additional capacity the module will produce.

Samsung has NAND flash production at Hwaseong and Pyeongtaek in Korea and Xi’an, China.
