Rambus buys Diablo Technologies’ memory assets
Rambus will broaden the company’s memory offering with the purchase of Diablo Technologies’ hybrid DRAM and Flash memory assets. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.

The new technologies will complement Rambus’s NVDIMM portfolio and high-bandwidth, low-power memory technologies. Rambus’ intends to use these technologies to provide a foundation for integrating existing DRAM and Flash along with emerging memories into advanced hybrid memory systems.

Over the last decade, Diablo Technologies has pioneered NVDIMM technologies for high-speed, low-power, and low-latency bridging and switching products. The company’s memory buffer and software solutions used an all-Flash memory sub-system to revolutionise data centre performance and economics.
