The three companies will partner to integrate each party’s products and services. Each company will provide resources to make edge computing easier to apply, allowing developers to concentrate on AI application development for hardware and middleware. The solution will be based on Advantech’s SOM-5871/AIMB-228 platform, equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processers and Mentor’s Embedded Linux operating system. The AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processor supports frameworks, libraries, tools, and compilers for machine vison applications that uses the full power of the Ryzen processor with Radeon Vega GPU technology. The AI solutions developed by the three companies will be based on open standards such as OpenVX, OpenCL API supported on the Linux kernel, to allow users to migrate machine learning across diverse hardware architectures.
