Mouser adds new NXP edge-based processors

Mouser has added the NXP Semiconductors’ i.MX RT106L and i.MX RT106F EdgeReady crossover processors intended for the next generation of IoT edge applications.
Mouser has added the NXP Semiconductors’ i.MX RT106L and i.MX RT106F EdgeReady crossover processors intended for the next generation of IoT edge applications.

The devices feature an Arm Cortex-M7 processing core running at up to 600 MHz, supported by 1 Mbyte SRAM and connectivity options that include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee and Thread.

i.MX RT106L is intended to simplify the implementation of far-field, local command-based voice control capabilities. The processor provides the key functional elements for automatic speech recognition (AFE softDSP, media player and streamer, and automatic speech recognition engine for local commands and wake words). The device is also incorporated into the SLN-LOCAL-IOT Solution for Local Voice Control, a hardware and software platform for the rapid development of products featuring low-latency private voice control.

The second device added by Mouser, the NXP i.MX RT106F has been developed for applications that require a real-time response for facial recognition. The chip is licensed to operate the NXP OASIS run-time library for facial recognition. The NXP OASIS library provides access to a range of features (camera drivers, face detection, etc.). The processor also forms the basis for the SLN-VIZN-IOT Solution for Face Recognition. The self-contained, software and hardware package provides an out-of-the-box implementation of face recognition applications.
