The TS5111 is aimed at DDR5 memory modules and other applications like SSDs, computing motherboards, and communications equipment that need accurate, real-time temperature monitoring.

The device has been developed to provide high-precision system temperatures with programmable warning flags that allow systems to execute thermal control loop mechanisms such as memory refresh rates, fan speeds, and bandwidth throttling. In a package that measures only 0.8 x 1.3mm, the TS5111 supports I²C, SMBUS and the I3C Basic protocol for data rates up to 12.5 MHz, as well as advanced features like in-band interrupts, parity check, and packet error checks.

Other Renesas DDR5 RDIMM ICs include the 5RCD0148HC1 registered clock driver, the P8900 power management IC, and the SPD5118 SPD Hub.
