The Renesas RE MCU Family is powered by the Arm Cortex-M0+ core. It has been developed for IoT devices which need low power consumption, such as wearables and sensing applications. The family based on Renesas’ proprietary SOTB (Silicon-on-Thin-Buried-Oxide) process technology, which can reduce power consumption in active and standby states.
The IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm toolchain is a complete C/C++ development toolchain for embedded applications. IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm provides advanced code optimization techniques and power debugging functionality to ensure applications are fast, efficient and highly compact. To ensure code quality, the toolchain features integrated static and runtime code analysis tools.
