C-Trust operates as an extension of the IAR Embedded Workbench development toolchain and allows developers to protect an existing or new application without the need to master the complexities of security. The Security from Inception Suite adds security development tools to C-Trust, as well as providing training to support user’s transition into the security domain to meet legislative requirements.
Renesas’ RA MCU family uses Arm Cortex-M cores as a base to provide performance, security, connectivity, peripheral IP and a Flexible Software Package (FSP). The new release of C-Trust supports the RA6M3 group of MCUs in the RA Family. Previous support for Renesas RX MCUs has been extended to the RX72N, building on the coverage for Renesas RX65N. C-Trust, allows developers to improve application security with robust protection against IP theft, malware injection, counterfeiting and overproduction. Development on Renesas platforms with C-Trust also quickens compliance with new legislation.
“The growing number of security legislations globally drives a need for easing security implementation, both in existing and new designs,” says Clive Watts, Director of Product Management, Embedded Security Solutions, IAR Systems. “To help our customers in meeting the increasing security requirements, we are constantly updating the device support in our security tools offering. By supporting both the RA and RX families, we deliver a security solution enabling developers to leverage their security investment across several architectures without the need for extensive redesign or rework.”
IAR’s Security from Inception Suite, is a set of tools and services for that assists in the implementation and customisation of security features in embedded applications.
