The Aldec TySOM-2A-7Z030 embedded development board has been paired with an Aldec FMC-NET daughter card to provide two Wi-Fi/Bluetooth channels, six Ethernet connectors, one QSFP+ connector, four SATA connectors, and four USB connectors. The QSFP+ connectors are available for high-speed data transactions, the SATA connectors can be used for hard disc storage or SSDs, USB ports are available for the connection of external devices and the Ethernet ports give further connectivity options.

The TySOM-2A is a compact prototyping board powered by a mid-range Z-7030 module that allows flexibility in peripherals through a large FFG676 chip package and 250 I/O and 4 GTX transceivers. A FMC-HPC connector is available for expansion cards, such as the FMC-NET. The DDR3 RAM, USB and HDMI used by the ARM CPU are also on-board. No additional hardware is required to boot up with Linux or an RTOS. The OS and software is executed by an ARM Cortex CPU with 1GB of DDR3 RAM.
