Electrocomponents launches company devoted to SBCs and IoT
Electrocomponents has launched OKdo, a worldwide technology business that will concentrate on the fast growing single board computing (SBC) and the Internet of Things (IoT) segments.

OKdo will provide end-to-end support for all SBC and IoT segments and is targetted at all levels of professionals, from makers to experienced designers and resellers. The company will deliver a combination of hardware, software, development support and manufacturing services.

OKdo will build on the existing relationships that Electrocomponents’ companies have with leading SBC providers, including Arduino, BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi. New partnerships for customers will include Arm, NXP, Broadcom, Intel, and Seeed, plus tech start-ups like Zerynth and The Things Industries.

The new global website is now live in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, US and Japan. A global sales team will support business customers with the technology portfolio, as well as a new range of services. OKdo's projects portal will help designers access support for manufacturing and prototyping, and provide a free cloud-based IoT development platform.
