CES report - Smart Wood Control

January 11, 2019 // By Wisse Hettinga
Calm design for a busy world

When you are tired of controlling your world watching your mobile screen or have a non-stop talking device in your house, have a look at Mui’s Natural Wood Interface. They call it ‘calm design’ and they promise that their intuitive technology will let you control your space and understand the world. Now, I think you need a bit more than a piece of smart wood to ‘understand the world’, but the message is clear. Inside the Natural Wood interface you will find a microphone, speaker, Wi-Fi and low Energy Bluetooth and under a thin layer of veneer there is a ‘calm’ display.

Apparently, the piece of wood drawed a nice crowd at the CES, they are listed for a CES Award and on Kickstarter they received some nice backing.
