Bridgetek technology enables Arduino display project
Bridgetek’s Embedded Video Engine (EVE) technology has been incorporated in the Sunflower Shield, which is currently being crowdfunded via Kickstarter.

The Sunflower Shield uses the highly integrated FT813 EVE graphics controller IC to add a touch-enabled 3.5" (QVGA) TFT LCD display to Arduino projects.

The shield can render 24-bit colour content in landscape or portrait orientations and supports 60fps animations. The compact board has a 5-point multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, a PWM controlled audio amplifier with a 1W speaker, a thermocouple input (probe included), solid state relay outputs and a microSD memory card slot. Combining the EVE graphics controller with an MCU, such as the Arduino, creates a well partitioned design at an attractive price point.
