3U VPX processor offers optical interface

Concurrent Technologies has launched a single slot 3U VPX CPU and GPGPU for air and conduction-cooled applications.

The BA 1TR/m03 board was developed in partnership with EIZO Rugged Solutions. BA 1TR/m03 is a single slot board that has been based on the Concurrent Technologies TR E8x/msd CPU board. It has been fitted with EIZO’s Condor NVP2000 XMC module. The new product was developed to offer a high-performance solution that only takes up a single slot for a broad range of processing and display applications in the defence and aerospace industry.

Concurrent Technologies’ TR E8x/msd CPU normally features a 6-core Intel Xeon E-2276ME processor operating at up to 2.8 GHz, with up to 32 GByte of soldered down DDR4 memory and a wide range of I/O. The default variant of the Condor NVP2000 GPGPU has H.265/H.264 hardware encode/decode capability and features DisplayPort++ and DVI video outputs. EIZO Rugged Solutions also provides variants of the NVP2000 that have support for SDI, VGA and other video outputs for different customer applications. BA 1TR/m03 can either connect to multiple displays or be used for processor-intensive applications by using the NVIDIA 768 CUDA cores as a GPGPU resource.
