100 Watt ecosystem for COM Express Type 7 Servers

By eeNews Europe

The new 100 Watt ecosystem is intended to bring a cost-efficient, scalable solution to a number of COM Express Type 7 Server-on-Modules for edge and micro server applications that require power in the 65-100 Watt range. It will provide COM Express Basic form factor modules to be equipped with new heat spreaders and heatpipe adapters. The fanless systems are more robust and reliablefor applications at the edge.

The 100 Watt ecosystem also includes starter kits with the two different application-ready server-grade carrier boards conga-X7EVAL and conga-STX7. The kits can be modified to customer specifications. The final part of the ecosystem is the provision of relevant hardware engineering services for embedded edge server platforms.

Software features of the 100 Watt ecosystem include support for real-time configurations to avoid latencies and the support for the comprehensive RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability) features common to all AMD EPYC Embedded 3000 processors.
