
Teledyne e2v qualifies ARM processor for military

Teledyne e2v has qualified the LS1046A ARM processor from NXP Semiconductors for operation across the military temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.

The part is a quad-core processor based on the 64-bit Cortex-A72 that operates at up to 1.8GHz and includes packet processing acceleration with high-speed peripherals. The LS1046A, offering more than 45,000 CoreMarks of compute performance, paired with dual 10Gbit/s Ethernet, PCIe Gen3, SATA Gen3.
It is available in both RoHS and leaded packages and as part of Teledyne e2v’s Semiconductor Lifecycle Management program it is promised to be supported for more than 15 years.
Teledyne e2v offers PowerPC processors from NXP now joined by ARM architecture devices and has used the LS1046A in its latest Qormino computing module, which also includes a 4Gbytes DDR4 memory.
