RS, Nordic and Cadent launch isolation design challenge
Entries should be based around low-power wireless technologies, such as Bluetooth LE, Thread and Cellular IoT (LTE-M or NB-IoT), be easy to use, and accessible to vulnerable people.
Technical skills are not essential as winning designs will have product development support from RS and Nordic. The two companies also offer free design resources in their online engineering communities: RS’ DesignSpark platform and the Nordic DevZone. In the competition’s final stage, Cadent will consider the winners for further support to access funding mechanisms to assist the products through production and implementation.
‘Connect the Community’ challenge is hosted on DesignSpark.
RS has also launched the STEM Extraordinary Engineering Challenge, which asks UK schoolchildren to design an engineering solution to address global social and environmental issues.
