Programmable logic initiative gets second series

element14 has launched the Path II Programmable series to make access to programmable devices easier and faster.
By eeNews Europe

The series, sponsored by Xilinx, builds on an earlier series released last year. It will provide 5 community members with advice from the community, as well as specialists from Xilinx and Avnet as they look to begin designing with FPGAs. During the 6 week series, the participants will blog experiences.

Path II Programmable is based around the Avnet Ultra96-V2 development board, an Arm-based, Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC open source board. The board can be used to develop software applications, hardware devices and kernel programming for operating systems. The on-board programmable logic can be used to quicken the development of deep learning and AI algorithms.

The Path II Programmable program will provide participants with the tools to develop applications that can include:

• Artificial Intelligence

• Machine Learning

• IoT/Cloud Connectivity for Add-On Sensors

• Embedded Computing

• Robotics

• Entry Level Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC Development Environment

• Training Prototyping and Proof of Concept Demo Platform

• Wireless Design and Demonstrations Using WiFi and Bluetooth
