The HSEC8-DP Series has 0.8 mm pitch and is a differential pair version of the company’s Edge Rate 0.80 mm pitch sockets. The socket is capable of speeds up to 28 Gbps NRZ/56 Gbps PAM4 and features Edge Rate sockets for longer lifecycles and lower crosstalk. The series features double row sockets with between 8 and 56 contact pairs, which mate with standard 1.60 mm (.062″) thick cards. Rugged weld tabs are available as an option.

The second (HSEC1 Series) series that Samtec introduced has 1.00 mm pitch and is optimised for speeds of up to 28 Gbps. This series also has Edge Rate contacts with an alignment pin and the option of rugged weld tabs. The connectors have up to 140 positions and mate with 1.60 mm (.062″) cards.
