IAR Systems updates Renesas RX development tools
IAR Systems has launched version 4.10 of the company’s Embedded Workbench toolchain for Renesas RX MCU, which enables higher code quality and more efficient debugging.

IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas RX includes IAR C/C++ Compiler with Renesas RX ABI compliance. In version 4.10, the toolchain includes ISO/IEC 9899:2011 compliance for the C language, and ISO/IEC 14882:2014 compliance for C++. The compiler now also supports stack protection.

The new software version also supports Renesas’ E2 on-chip debugging emulator. C-STAT static analysis tool users now have 20 new checks, some of which are enabled by default.

IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas RX is available at several different editions to suit different needs, including a functional safety edition certified by TÜV SÜD according to IEC 61508, EN 50128, ISO 26262 and IEC 62304.
