The POC terminal is powered by an 8th gen Intel Core i5/i7-8665UE processor to provide high-performance and enhanced operational efficiency. An integrated NVME SSD processes data seven times faster than traditional 2.5″ SSDs to cater for real-time data processing and storage requirements. The Intel Wireless-AC 2×2 solution allows POC-624 to transmit data more reliably and 12 times faster than traditional BGN 1×1 solutions.
The ultra-thin terminal is compliant with IEC 60601-1 safety standards for medical devices to allow it to be deployed quickly in healthcare environments. The POC-624 also has a fanless design and is environmentally sealed in a specially designed plastic enclosure. The enclosure supports regular sanitization by a variety of disinfectants and sanitizing agents for strict hygiene control. The system is IP54-rated for protection from water and dust ingress (front panel IP65).
POC-624 has been developed for reliable operation in a wide variety of healthcare environments. The system offers both COM and LAN (1.5KV) ports that have been equipped with isolation protection to guard against EMI or leakage. This isolation ensures safe integration with existing infrastructure and equipment.
To support those diverse applications, modules are available to expand the POC-624 POC terminal’s abilities. These optional modules include an RFID reader or a smart card reader and an HD camera and sound bar module for telemedicine applications. An expansion slot is available to allow add-on cards and customized I/O to be integrated, expanding the system’s functionalities. An optional hot-swappable power system, allows POC-624 to be used for mobile healthcare.
