The board enables faster prototyping and development of industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It sports a 4Mb (512K x 8) serial F-RAM with a 40MHz Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and a 2.0V to 3.6V operating voltage range. The F-RAMs are available in RoHS-compliant, 8-pin, industry-standard packages. On the functional level, the F-RAM operates in a similar way as serial flash and serial EEPROMs, but they offer superior write performance, high endurance, and low power consumption. All Cypress F-RAMs provide 100-trillion read/write cycle endurance with 10 years data retention at 85ºC or 151 years at 65ºC.
