The 840-nm SLEDs can provide an output power of more than 20mW from a single-mode fibre and a have 3-dB spectral bandwidths of more than 50nm. They are especially suited for medical imaging applications such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and fibre optic sensor applications thanks to their high output power and large spectral bandwidth. The standard product is delivered in a 14-pin Butterfly housing with a monitor photodiode and an FC/APC connector. All devices are based on Exalos’ proprietary design.
