The Distributed Design Maker Platform is a new program launched by a group of fablabs from all over Europe. The program is aiming to help designers and makers to design and produce ‘anything anywhere’. With identical production facilities in place in the various fablabs the group aims for a new, more sustainable approach to designing and producing, the ‘bitcoin’ of production. A 4 year project is launched to create events and publications to promote this initiative and to start creating new products that have a very little ecological footprint.
