Small footprint VGA SWIR detector supports high volume imaging applications

January 11, 2018 // By Ally Winning
Sofradir has launched a small footprint, VGA SWIR detector for use in high-volume industrial, scientific and surveillance applications.

The Snake SW Tecless is a cost effective solution that offers 300fps frame rates and low SNR, allowing cameras to operate at full potential. The SWIR is the first that Sofradir has brought to market that doesn’t require a cooler. With a size of 2.73cm2, Sofradir claims that the Snake SW Tecless is the smallest SWIT detector available and is one-fifth the size of the company’s other products. The small size of the detector makes it suitable for applications that include in-line inspection and sorting, machine vision for semiconductors, agricultural, pharmaceutical or chemical products.

Sofradir will debut the detector at Photonics West.
